You may know that there are degrees given for life experience. Well, my life experience degree is based on the following:

• 'C' is for Catalyst ~ For the past twenty years I have been bringing people together with people, with resources, and with ideas.
  
• 'S' is for Smile-motivator ~ I motivate in order to bring out the best in everyone.
  
• 'W' is for Word-sharer ~ I share words that I've learned from the many educators I've met in my life. It is your choice to absorb or discard what I offer.

  As the Creator, Founder and CEO of Powers' Singles Meeting Place, Farmingdale, NY ('95-'01) I provided

• Workshops to enhance self-esteem and help people achieve their goals.
  
• Dreamshops that help people to make their dreams come true.
  
• Playshops to encourage creativity and assist people to live life with passion.

For more than ten years I have arranged and facilitated Powers' Singles weekly activities and dinner parties inviting you to "Pull Up A Chair" and introducing you to everyone at the party. "Powers Talks" are group discussions that focus on topics of interest for Singles and are scheduled in various locations throughout the Island.  Join us for "2 in 1 Cocktail/Dinner Parties" which attract a variety of people looking for your company. . . .  and I am blessed to be the Mother of an amazing Son, a wonderful Daughter and terrific Son-In-Law. I've recently become a Grandmother for the third time.  As I continue to design my life, I am filled with gratitude for living my life on purpose.

That said, here's how one question I asked and answered changed my life . . .

Making a decision to move forward, after separating from 'what's his name' was one of the most empowering choices I ever made.  Rather than going back to a maiden name, I hadn't been a 'maiden' in more than twenty years, I asked, "If I could choose a name for myself, what would it be?"  With the question, came my answer; Powers!  Sandra Powers!  Not too long after, I met a woman who loved the idea of moving forward and she asked me what my middle name was.  I told her that I didn't have one, and she said, "How about 'M'."  Quizzically, I said, "M"?  She replied, "Sandra MPowers!"  My given name, Sandra, means "helper of humankind".  True to my name, I am a helper who MPowers!
